From February 14, teenagers from the UK and outside the EU aged between 12 and 17 can present a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arrival in Spain as an alternative to being fully vaccinated

With everyone loosening the restrictions with the threat of Omicron and COVID-19 fading for the foreseeable future, Spain is the latest one to join the trend to relax restrictions against foreign travellers. In particular, the government has made changes to its restrictions to make it easier for young UK visitors to visit the country.

From February 14, teenagers from the UK and outside the EU aged between 12 and 17 can present a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arrival in Spain as an alternative to being fully vaccinated. Meanwhile, all other travellers except children under 12 will need to present a fully vaccinated certificate which needs to be administered at least 14 days before the visit.

In addition, if the vaccine was administered more than 270 days ago, a record of booster shot must also be given before the travel. All passengers must also present a QR code which needs to be obtained by filling out the Health Control Form in Spain Travel Health. Many from the UK and around the world have welcomed this decision by the Spanish government.
