Amidst the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces, many Western nations and companies have ended their contracts and trade with the Russian government and Russian-affiliated companies. The latest one of them is Sabre Corporation which has ended its distribution agreement with Aeroflot, the largest state-majority owned carrier in Russia.
Sabre has said the company was taking 'immediate steps' to remove Aeroflot flight content from its global distribution system. It has further elaborated that it has been closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine and will evaluate whether further actions, accounting legal repercussions and blowback can be implemented in response.
Sabre Corporation, with over 1,500 members in Poland, has supported Polish Red Cross, a humanitarian organization with over $1 million which has been working in conflict zones and supporting displaced people from the Russia-Ukraine conflict
