The Department of Immigration of Nepal has implemented new procedure for women traveling abroad alone. Now, when any woman under 40 goes abroad, they should have the consent from the familiy and the recommendation of the ward before being able to travel.
This has been proposed to the Ministry of Home Affairs as an amendment to the Immigration Procedure 2065. The Ministry has said that this new provision is to keep human trafficking, exploitation, in check.
In additon, non-life accident insurance of Rs 15 lakh should also be prepared with vK visa, passport, two way ticket, hotel booking etc being mandatory for women now. This new proposal has been under consideration in the Ministry of Home Affairs since it was announced three days ago.
