With many Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia also opening up their borders to travel, Malaysia has taken another step in the direction of relaxing COVID-19 restrictions against some travellers.
Any travellers and visitors coming to Malaysia from the Vaccinated Travel Line (VTL) from Singapore, the Langkawi travel bubble and visitors coming for short term business travel via one-step centres. These travellers are not required to take the COVID RTK-Ag test on the second, fourth and sixth days after arrival. They also do not need to go through a professional COVID test on the third and fifth days. In addition, travellers from the UK will also be exempt from undergoing self-testing during the quarantine period.
