Using a 3D projector imported from Germany, Le Petit Chef transforms an ordinary table setting into a cinematic stage. The book placed in front of each guest becomes their personal screen for the evening, as the tiny animated chef guides diners through a sweeping culinary world tour – from France to Arabia, India, Nepal, and China, before returning home to France. Each course of the six-course "Marco Polo" menu unfolds as its own chapter, with the story projected directly onto the plate as the dish arrives.

Guests are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime to settle in before Le Petit Chef begins his journey. From there, the two-hour show weaves together storytelling and fine dining, with seating shared at tables of up to six guests, giving the evening a lively, communal energy.
The signature journey plays out across six distinct courses; each tied to a leg of Marco Polo's travels:
The journey begins with a French-inspired opener – Cream of Chicken Velouté for non-vegetarians and Créme St. Germain Soup for vegetarians.

Next, you will explore Arabia with our little chef, who will prepare for us the Chickpea Kibbeh with mint labneh and muhammara, topped with small orbs made of balsamic reduction that brings out the colour of the sauces, further amplifying the dish’s beautiful presence.

Transversing through India, you will experience first-hand the burst of flavour that Indian spices have to offer, with the Chicken Tikka, or the Lime Mint Curd Mousse with rose soil.

After India, you will be navigating our very own Nepalese flavour – a “Himalayan Garden” course featuring Chatamari Tacos, Smoked Mushroom Choila, and Churpi Timur Cream – which gives the show a distinctly local flourish, nothing like you’ve ever tasted before.

Through the mountains, all the way to China, you will conquer the “Red Dragon” with the Sichuan-spiced Chicken, or Tofu with Stir-fried Asian vegetables, Steamed Sticky Rice, Sichuan Sauce, and Chili Sauce, as your main course for the event.

For the final promenade, you will be closing the story back in France with our little chef, with the soft and rich sweetness of the Saffron Tres Leches Milk Cake with Cardamom Rabri Chantilly with Rice Tuile.

Vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and children's versions of the menu are available, ensuring the experience is accessible to families and groups with varied dietary preferences.
Le Petit Chef runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with two seatings daily – a 1:30 PM lunch show and a 6:30 PM dinner show – giving you the flexibility to build the experience into your weekend plans.
Bringing the show to life at Hyatt Centric are Shraddha Prajapati, Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage, and Suprina Maharjan, presenter for Le Petit Chef, who together with their team, Swekshya Shakya and Vivek Khadka, ensure that each seating delivers the seamless blend of storytelling, technology, and cuisine that has made Le Petit Chef a global sensation.
With its mix of cutting-edge projection technology and a menu that folds Nepali flavors into an international narrative, Le Petit Chef's arrival at Hyatt Centric Soalteemode marks a new kind of dining experience for Kathmandu – part theatre, part culinary adventure, and entirely unforgettable.
