In a heartwarming gesture of corporate social responsibility, Himalaya Airlines collaborated with the Chinese Enterprises Association of Nepal (CEAN) to organize a Free Health Check-Up for the children of Prayas Nepal on January 22, 2025. The initiative was conducted by the 16th batch of the China Medical Team, whose expert medical professionals provided comprehensive examinations and innovative health education tailored to the children’s health needs.
Coinciding with the Chinese New Year, CEAN further supported the orphanage with a generous donation of NPR 6 lakh, ensuring a year-long supply of daily essentials, including groceries, snacks, and toiletries for the children.
Himalaya Airlines, a long standing supporter of Prayas Nepal since 2017, reaffirmed its commitment to empowering underprivileged children. Speaking at the event, Mr. Zhou Enyong, President of Himalaya Airlines, shared,“Everything we do may be a small contribution, but the innocent smiles and tenacity of these children gives us an endless amount of strength. Seeing them growing up here healthy and happy is the biggest motivation we’ve always had.”
Founded in 2003, Prayas Nepal Orphanage is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing shelter, education, and psychological support to orphaned and underprivileged children. Currently caring for 18 children, the orphanage also equips them with life skills to prepare for independent futures.
This charity effort highlights the goodwill and deepened friendship between Nepal and China while showcasing the dedication of Chinese enterprises like Himalaya Airlines to social responsibility in Nepal.
