Adding another flight connectivity to China, Himalaya Airlines' starts its maiden flight to Chongqing on January 23, 2020
Marking the upcoming auspicious occasion of Chinese New Year, Himalaya Airlines had its inaugural flight to Chongqing on January 23. To share more information on this and further details regarding their China operations, Himalaya Airlines organised a Press Meet at The Dwarika's Hotel on the same day.
Ujjwala Dali, Head of Brand and Service the MC for the Press Meet welcomed all the distinguished guests. Recalling the progress of Himalaya Airlines from its reveal of new brand identity during Ghatasthapana to the operation of its first scheduled flight to China during Laxmi Puja, Himalaya Airlines choose another auspicious occasion to inaugurate its flight to Chongqing.
Zhou Enyong, the President of Himalaya Airlines outlined the growing path of aviation sector in Nepal and how Himalaya Airlines has contributed for this growth. He expressed his thanks to the government of Nepal and CAAN for their support in their endeavours.
Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Nepal, Her Excellency Hou Yanqi congratulated Himalaya Airlines on their maiden flight to Chongqing. She also highlighted the airlines' contribution in promoting Visit Nepal Year 2020. Her Excellency ended her speech by wishing everyone a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year.
Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai congratulated Himalaya Airlines on its inaugural flight to Chongqing. Honorable Minister said that the development in the aviation sector and building of connectivity with China has strengthened the relationship between the two countries. He also hoped that when the new Gautam Buddha International Airport comes into operation soon, the Airlines will operate its flights through the airport connecting China and Lumbini directly.
