The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies said, "Guidelines would be formulated for concerned authorities and business communities to sell and distribute daily essentials to people during the lockdown.
A meeting of Industry Minister Lekhraj Bhatta, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Hridayesh Tripathi and mayors of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Madyapurthimi on Wednesday decided that Kathmandu Valley and local levels outside would follow the same guidelines in selling and distributing daily essentials to people. "As per the decision, metropolises and municipalities, the Food Management and Trading Company Limited and Salt Trading Corporation Limited in the Valley would follow the guidelines in distributing and selling essentials," said Prakash Dahal, spokesperson of the Industry Ministry. "Similarly, local levels outside the Valley would follow the guidelines in distributing reliefs," he added.
