Many travelers find themselves frustrated as their return flights are canceled or delayed as wintry weather in addition to the already deadly pandemic causing further hiccups in the airline industry. More than 2500 US flights and more than 4100 worldwide were grounded on Sunday. This was already in addition to 2700 US and over 4700 flights being canceled on Saturday.
In combination with the highest toll in a single day with airlines blaming staff shortage for the increasing Coronavirus, a winter storm in the Midwest has made it even worse for travelers throughout the weekend.
Regional airports continued to recover from the storm. Already about a quarter of O'Hare Airport flights have been canceled. And seeing that American airlines have reported having canceled most of Sunday's flights too, the situation continues to worsen.
