Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, the recently appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, restated Nepal's dedication to the Panchsheel Principles and the Non-Aligned Movement. She highlighted that Nepal, which is situated between two sizable landmasses, should maintain balanced ties with all countries, especially its neighbors, in a statement to the media on Monday after taking office at the Ministry.

Rana was born in Kathmandu in January 1962 and is a strong supporter of women's rights, property rights, reproductive health rights, and equitable representation of women in state agencies. She graduated with a doctorate in organizational psychology from Chandigarh, India's Punjab University. Her involvement in women's rights concerns began in 1996 when she founded the Safe Motherhood Network.

Minister Rana, a central committee member of the Nepali Congress and a member of the House of Representatives, also serves as the President of the Agriculture, Cooperatives, and Natural Resources Committee under the Federal Parliament. This is her first ministerial role.

Foreign Minister Rana stated that the Foreign Ministry played a vital role in the nation's prosperity and that she would direct her efforts toward advancing economic diplomacy in support of the nation's advancement.
