Cathay Pacific has redeveloped its "Economy fares" with light, essential and flex flares
Cathay Pacific has redeveloped its "Economy fares" with new and simple-to-understand light, essential and flex flares. From enhanced baggage allowances to flexible rebooking and upgrade options. Each fare brand has offered more control, extensive benefits and more visibility to their customers on what they are purchasing.
Keeping customers’ travel requirements and easement their priority, the airline is offering Nepalese customers an optional choice and flexibility while booking their flights. It will be introduced in Nepal across the network in phases on November 30, 2021.
The Light flares facilitate their customers to enjoy great value in their confirmed travel plans where travellers can pay for the additional luggage and pre-selection after their booking is made. Similarly, Essential fares are an ideal fare for those who are travelling with their family, heading for a longer trip, or simply seeking more comfort and convenience. They offer extra pieces of luggage, seat pre-selection and also the option of upgrading using Asia Miles.
Whereas, Flex fare assures greater convenience and peace of mind for their customers with maximum flexibility for the next business trip or holiday. They can also make the changes when they need to.
Head of Sales and Country Lead Nepal, Junu Maleku said, “We understand our customers’ travel preferences have changed over time and that no two journeys are the same. Our aim has always been to develop and provide offerings that are in line with what they are looking for.”
“The new fare categorisations allow our customers to choose the fare that resonates best with them, whether that is value fares, having the flexibility to opt for an earlier flight or upgrade using Asia Miles. We are confident these changes will provide our customers with even greater choice, flexibility and value when they fly with us”, she adds further.
Cathay Pacific is also shifting its baggage policy from a weight-allowance to a piece-allowance system that provides a more generous baggage allowance in the majority of fare types and cabin classes. They are providing these changes to all cabin classes and they want to roll out worldwide as the new Economy fares are introduced.
