Located along the border of Anbukhaireni Rural Municipalities 2 and 4 in Tanahun, 'Ainapahara' is being developed as a model tourism destination for the Gandaki province. Ainapahara, located nearby the Prithvi Highway, is being developed as a tourism hub. As part of the plan, artistic statues and structures are being carved out of the natural rock and stone found in Ainapahara. An engineer at Anbukhaireni rural municipality, Pankaj Magar, shared that the task of carving an elephant-sized idol on a rock nearby a fall in Ainapahara is underway.
Attractive idols of gods and goddesses will be sculpted on naturally-located rocks and stones in the area. The rural municipality has contracted out an agreement worth over Rs 11.3 million in the current fiscal year to develop the area as a tourism hub. It has been reported that work is being accelerated in order to open the tourism area in time for the upcoming Dashain festival.
