Government's plans to enhance air routes to Gautam Buddha International Airport connectivity from China and Sri Lanka

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has outlined the government's plans to enhance international flight connectivity from Pokhara, Gautam Buddha International Airports. Addressing lawmakers at the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee of the National Assembly, PM Dahal disclosed ongoing discussions with the Indian government regarding air routes to Gautam Buddha International Airport. Similar dialogues are underway with China and Sri Lanka for direct flights from these airports.

Furthermore, efforts are being made to convert the loan from the Chinese government related to Pokhara International Airport into a grant. The government is also actively working on revitalizing industries in Hetauda, Butwal, Janakpur, and Biratnagar, along with ongoing embankment construction along the Koshi River.

PM Dahal emphasized the government's commitment to increasing agricultural production through irrigation projects and land reforms. He clarified that land reform goes beyond distributing land ownership certificates to squatters; it lays the groundwork for socialism.

Additionally, PM Dahal assured lawmakers of the government's dedication to providing justice and relief to families affected by the conflict era. He expressed optimism that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Bill would soon be finalized by the parliamentary committee.
