Shortly after the construction of the restaurant was halted down, The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) have reportedly formed a committee to carry out an investigation on the restaurant. In particular, they are focusing on the decision process to give Batas permission for running a business process, including the restaurant in Naraynhiti Palace.
After widespread criticism after it was reported that a restaurant was being in a site of such historical significance such as Narayanhiti Palace, Minister Ale had directed in Narayanhiti Palace Museum and Republic Memorial Management and Operation Development Board to stop the ongoing construction work of the restaurant at the Narayanhiti Palace Museum premises.
The probe committee is being coordinated by the Joint Secretary of MoCTCA, Hom Prasad Luintel under which Under-Secretary at the Employees Administration Section, Tek Narayan Poudel, Comptroller General at Financial Management Division, Suryamani Gautam, Under-Secretary Purushottam Khatiwada are also part of the probe committee investigating the decision process of giving Batas Group permission to do business in Narayanhiti Palace, with 10 ropanis of the land of the Museum as the original agreement.
