Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, commonly known as The Golden Temple or Kwa Baha informally, is a historical vihara (Buddhist monastery) located in Patan, Nepal. Its literal meaning is "Gold-colored Great Monastery." King Bhaskar Varman constructed this Shakyamuni Buddha pagoda in gold in the twelfth century. The golden image and a large prayer wheel are located inside the pagoda's upper level.
