Can you tell us about your background and experience in the hospitality industry?
I started my career as a Restaurant Manager at the Club Himalaya resort. Then, in 2003, I joined Le Meridien Kathmandu (Starwood hotels and resorts) as a Sales and Marketing Manager. Over time, I was promoted to the role of Director of Sales and Marketing in 2007, a position I held until May 2013. During my time there, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in renowned international travel and tourism fairs like ITB Berlin, WTM London, ITB Asia Singapore, ATM Dubai, MATTA Malaysia, TOAB DHAKA, SATTE New Delhi, TTF Mumbai, New Delhi Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.
These global marketing experiences helped me grow and excel in sales and marketing. From June 2013 to April 2015, I served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Hotel Everest. Following that, I joined the CG Group of Hospitality in May 2015 as the Group Director of Sales and Marketing. In 2016, I was honored to become the Hotel Manager at the Summit Hotel, Kathmandu, where I worked until August 2018.
In 2018, I embarked on a new journey as part of the pre-opening team for Hotel Akama Kathmandu until March 2020. Afterward, I assumed the role of General Manager at Hotel Ichchha, based in Simara Bara, Nepal, from August 2022 to May 2023, following the challenging times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, I have been presented with an exciting opportunity to work at the legendary Fish Tail Lodge, Managed by the Annapurna group of Hotels. Joining this esteemed property allows me to continue my growth and learning in the field of hospitality. I still consider myself a student of the industry, as it provides endless opportunities for personal and professional development. Interacting with guests from diverse backgrounds has taught me invaluable lessons and enriched my understanding of the world. Each guest's experience has contributed to my continuous learning journey, shaping me into a better hotel professional.
