Enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine at Hokkaido Ramen House, where genuine flavors and a peaceful ambiance create the perfect Japanese dining atmosphere in Nepal.

Located within the peaceful Park Village Resort, Hokkaido Ramen House offers a unique dining experience that brings the authentic flavors of Japan to Nepal. This restaurant was established to serve as a culinary bridge between the two cultures, ensuring that customers can enjoy genuine Japanese cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients. The live kitchen concept enhances the dining experience by allowing guests to savor their meals fresh, hot, and prepared right in front of them, mirroring the dining traditions in Japan.

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating options with Japanese themes, each providing a beautiful atmosphere. The indoor area is cozy and homely, with comfortable seating that makes guests feel at ease. The outdoor setting is particularly peaceful, surrounded by lush bamboo trees and various plants. Dining outside offers a soothing retreat where you can enjoy your food while listening to the gentle chirping of birds, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal with friends and family.

Avocado Maki Roll

The Avocado Maki Roll was a standout vegetarian option on the menu. This roll had a filling of creamy avocado and cucumber, topped with avocado slices and sesame seeds. It was served beautifully, accompanied by soy sauce and wasabi for dipping. The creamy texture of the avocado, combined with the cucumber, created a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Each bite of this dish was light and satisfying.

Yakitori

The Pork Yakitori at Hokkaido Ramen House is a must-try dish. The skewers were glazed with a rich yakitori sauce and offered a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors. The pork was juicy and cooked to perfection, making it a delightful dish. The restaurant also offers a chicken variant of the yakitori, providing options for different preferences. This dish pairs exceptionally well with drinks, enhancing the overall experience.

Dashimaki Tamago

Dashimaki Tamago, a Japanese rolled omelet, is another highlight of the menu. Made using a blend of salt, sugar, mirin, and soy sauce, this dish offered a subtly sweet flavor. The omelet was soft and fluffy, with a delicate sweetness that was both surprising and delicious. It is a popular dish in Japan, and Hokkaido Ramen House has managed to capture its essence perfectly.

Chicken Karaage

The Chicken Karaage, a famous Japanese fried chicken, is a dish that should not be missed. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served warm. The dipping sauce added extra flavor, making it one of the best fried chicken dishes I have ever tasted.

Agedashi Tofu

Agedashi Tofu is another exceptional dish offered at Hokkaido Ramen House. The tofu is prepared in-house and served with a savory dashi broth, ginger, bonito flakes, and spring onions. The presentation was beautiful, and the taste was even better. The warm tofu melted in my mouth, and the broth added a rich flavor. This dish is a comforting choice for any meal.

Drinks

In addition to its exquisite food, Hokkaido Ramen House also offers a variety of refreshing drinks. The Iced Matcha Latte was a perfect choice for a hot day, with just the right amount of sweetness to be refreshing without being overpowering. Another drink that I tried was the Snowy Princess of Obihiro, named after a city in Hokkaido, Japan. This drink  had a beautiful blue color and flavors of coconut and pineapple, making it both visually appealing and delicious. Finally, the Japanese Matcha Green Tea was a healthy and flavorful option, known for its numerous health benefits and great taste.

Hokkaido Ramen House excels in bringing the authentic taste of Japanese cuisine to Nepal. Its diverse menu, ranging from light vegetarian options like the Avocado Maki Roll to rich, flavorful dishes like Pork Yakitori and Chicken Karaage, caters to a variety of tastes and preferences. The peaceful ambiance, whether indoors or in the outdoor setting, upgrades the dining experience, making it a perfect place for gatherings with friends and family. The addition of refreshing drinks, including traditional matcha and creative drinks like the Snowy Princess of Obihiro, rounds out the offerings. Hokkaido Ramen House is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience genuine Japanese flavors in a delightful setting.
