In pictures: Chaku making process

In order to make chakku, sugarcane jaggery is first boiled till it turns into caramel and then left to cool until it solidifies into a sticky mass. After that, it is repeatedly pulled and stretched, smoothing out the surface and changing the color to golden brown.
