Asan Tol असन टोल, Asan Twāh असं त्वाः is a ceremonial, market and residential area in the center of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. One of the city's most famous historical sites, he is famous for its bazaar, festival calendar and strategic location. Asan has been described as one of the finest Newar examples of traditional Asian bazaars. Tuladhar, Maharjan, Shrestha, Bajracharya and Shakya castes make up the majority of the population.
