Hotel Shangri-La Kathmandu heralds the Christmas season with a grand Cake Mixing Ceremony
The age old tradition of Cake Mixing Ceremony in Christian households has developed into an event conducted by the Hotels with great fanfare. Hotel Shangri-La Kathmandu has also been celebrating this festive spirit with its friends and guests.
Executive Chef, Vikram Kumar and his team prepared a splendidly for the Cake Mixing Ceremony with a total of 25 ingredients for the cake mix. The ingredients included exotic dried fruits and nuts, spice powders and alcoholic beverages.
To this fun-filled celebration, Hotel Shangri-La Kathmandu invited special guests from travel and corporate industry, celebrities and in-house guests. Well know faces of Miss Nepal 2010 Sadichha Shrestha, Miss Nepal International 2016 Barsha Lekhi, Miss Nepal Earth 2016 Roshani Khatri, Chairman of Hidden Treasure Subarna Chettri were seen at the event.
Executive Chef, Vikram Kumar led the invited VIP guests in creating the cake mix. The ingredients mixed during this ceremony will be stored until Christmas to prepare traditional Plum cakes. And on Christmas Eve, this mixture will also be blended with different batter to make cakes, cookies, stolen bread, mince pie, Yule log, et cetera.
The ceremony was followed by Hi-tea with delectable spread of treats to choose from. The guest were also served freshly made mulled wine, a drink reminiscent to Christmas.
