After a long year, you need a drink to chill out. At the bar, you might be wondering what to get. Here are five drinks to make your day. You might discover something that you absolutely love and would go for again in the rest of the year.
Are you sick of the same, old drink that you are used to ordering? Are you looking for something different? Why not try some new beverages to spice up this New Year? A cocktail or mocktail always helps you to rock the party. Here are some beverages to try:
1. Dark ‘n Stormy (Cocktail)
Dark rum “Dark” and ginger beer “Stormy” are combined to make a cocktail known as a “dark ‘n stormy”. This drink is served over ice and topped with a lime slice. Simple syrup and lime juice are also added to it. Spiced ginger is combined with Gosling’s rum, caramel, toffee and vanilla flavors for a strong, yet energising drink. The Moscow Mule and this cocktail are remarkably similar, except the Dark n’ Stormy uses dark rum instead of vodka.
2. Bellini (Cocktail)
In 1948, the traditional Bellini was first served at Harry’s Bar in Venice, Italy. The wine drink is perfect for brunch because of its flavor, which is light and pleasant. Prosecco, an Italian sparkling wine, and pureed white peaches make up the Bellini. As the story goes, Bellini got its name because the bartender was inspired by Giovanni Bellini’s warm-toned paintings when he observed the color of the drink which was pink.
3. Last word (Cocktail)
One of the most famous cocktails during prohibition was the Last Word, which was invented just before the law was changed. But like most of the Prohibition drinks, it also lost popularity in the middle of the 20th century. Gin, green Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and freshly squeezed lime juice are all blended and shaken with ice to make the Last Word. After shaking the mixture, it is poured into a glass. A cocktail sieve is used so that there is no ice left in the drink and can be served straight up.
4. Sundowner (Mocktail)
Sundowner is a great drink and can be a nice last-minute option for any event. This drink is usually made of white grape juice, sparkling water, and a little mint, which creates a non-alcoholic replica of sparkling wine. As you get to take pleasure in the refreshing flavor of mint, the garnish slowly infuses its flavor into the drink. This is a really cool beverage that is ideal for brunch or any occasion, where you want to have a non-alcoholic drink. Anyone can easily make this drink as it is incredibly easy to make it.
5. Chicha Morada (Mocktail)
Chicha Morada, which simply means “purple beverage”, is a popular beverage in Peru. The main ingredient to this unusual drink is purple corn, which is boiled to produce a nearly-black liquid. When you combine cinnamon, cloves, apples, and key limes, the energising beverage is all set to be enjoyed. Nowadays, Chicha Morada is consumed in three ways: a traditional homemade preparation, a pre-manufactured product or a manufactured product.
At your New Year’s Eve party, you should definitely try these beverages. You can choose a beverage based on your preferences and taste, whether it be alcoholic or not.
Hope you have a Happy New Year with these beverages!
