The Executive Chef Govinda Prd Khanal in The Fern Residency Platinum is the alchemist in the kitchen of Alchemy Restaurant. In his 24 years of work experience, he has worked both in Nepal and abroad.

Executive Chef Govinda Prd Khanal said, “Fine-dining is about serving the highest quality of food and everything on the plate needs to be in perfect harmony. Every plate that goes out of the kitchen needs to be an art, paying attention to the utmost detail.” And yes, all the dishes that he prepared were remarkable.

For starters, Chef Khanal served, Julienne Salad with Mango and Grilled Chicken. The colourful mount of finely julienned vegetables with the pieces of mango and grilled chicken drizzled with the flavourful vinaigrette tasted as good as it looked. The playful contrast between sweet mango bite and savoury grilled chicken bite was nothing short of magic.

Next up the Coconut and Mushroom Creamy Soup served in a coconut shell with edible spoon was incredibly Instagrammable and tasted equally delicious. The excitement of having the luxurious creamy coconut and mushroom soup with an edible spoon and nibbling at the crispy cracker spoon upon finishing the meal can only be felt after you have experienced it.

One of their recommended mains, Grilled Salmon Steak was served next. You will find your own nirvana in the heavenly grilled salmon served on a bed of mashed potato and mushy peas with butter sautéed vegetables: soft, savoury, creamy and perfectly seasoned. The glorious salmon steak was perfectly grilled and finished with butter basting which took the flavour to a whole another level.
