Dusit Princess Kathmandu kicks off Thai Flavours in the Himalayas & Thai Mahotsav with authentic cuisine, cultural performances, and warm Thai hospitality.

Kathmandu witnessed a vibrant start to the much-awaited Thai Flavours in the Himalayas & Thai Mahotsav at Dusit Princess Kathmandu, which will continue until August 31. The inaugural day was a resounding success, bringing together distinguished guests, mesmerizing cultural showcases, and authentic Thai culinary delights that transported everyone straight to the heart of Thailand.

The grand opening was graced by the arrival of H.E. Mr. Suwapong Sirisorn, Ambassador of Thailand to Nepal, accompanied by Madam, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Kathmandu, alongside other VIP guests. Their presence set an air of distinction and warmth to the festivities.

The program commenced with a warm welcome to all distinguished attendees, followed by remarks from Chairman, Mr. Dorje Lama, Dusit Princess Kathmandu. H.E. Mr. Suwapong Sirisorn then delivered his Opening Remarks, highlighting the importance of cultural exchange and the enduring friendship between Thailand and Nepal.

The highlight of the evening was a series of three breathtaking Thai cultural performances, which enchanted the audience with their elegance, artistry, and vibrancy. The traditional music, graceful dance, and colorful costumes created an immersive cultural experience that reflected the essence of Thailand’s rich heritage.

Beyond the performances, guests were invited to indulge in a specially curated menu at Soi Restaurant, the signature dining venue at Dusit Princess Kathmandu. The restaurant, adorned with Thai-inspired décor, offered a true taste of Thailand with authentic dishes.

The entire setting was infused with Thai authenticity — from the flavors and aromas of the food to the cultural rhythms that filled the air.
