Elegantly designed to provide an authentic quintessence of Amsterdam, Star Alliance’s lounges extend to eight
Star Alliance customers can now experience the premier lounge facility at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Starting from March 8, the new lounge is located on airside of Departure 2, Schengen Area on the Panorama Terrace Level and welcomes First and Business class passengers, Star Alliance Gold Card holders and also the paid lounge members of the Air Canada Maple Leaf Worldwide Club and Programmes.
Star Alliance has partnered with Aspire Netherlands to create this first dedicated alliance lounge at the airport. The alliance has also been working hand in hand with an Amsterdam-based architectural design firm, D-Dock to facilitate consumers with a unique infused taste. Designed elegantly to provide an authentic quintessence of Amsterdam, the architecture of the lounge has been inspired by changing Dutch skies and landscapes which also features some pieces from original Dutch designs.
Having the capacity to accommodate at least 150 guests, the lounge features top-notch services and amenities. Some of them involve a luggage storage area, work booths, dining and relaxation area and also comprises a wine bar during afternoon hours, a complimentary buffet, business related services and other personal services upon request. Customers are also ensured regarding the recharge of their personal electronic devices and are accessed to free Wi-Fi throughout the lounge.
The lounge will open daily from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm depending on the flight schedule of Star Alliance and other flights operated by Adria Airways, Aegean Airlines, Austrian Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansna, SAS, Swiss and TAC Air Portugal. Star Alliance now offers eight-star alliance lounges around the world.
