Aloft organised ‘Each for Equal’ session for this up coming International Women’s Day praising all the hardworking women staffs

For International Women’s Day Aloft Kathmandu Thamel managed by Shanti Hospitality Management Services took the opportunity of 2020 theme ‘Each for Equal’ by engaging in two campaigns.

On March 1, 2020 Aloft team visited Nagarjun Municipality Ward 6 at one of the Government School named Panchakanya Secondary School. Aloft team did an awareness session for students from Grade 6 to Grade 10 and teachers to understand what menstruation is, how to break the silence on menstruation. Aloft team introduced re-usable sanitary napkins along with a demonstration on how to use the sanitary pad and its cleaning procedure/method. The session ended by distributing bag packs to all the girls students and teachers with reusable pads, hand sanitizer & a soap.

On March 5, 2020 Aloft Kathmandu Thamel organized an event for the lady talents (staffs) which was attended by Priya Sigdel, Miss Nepal Earth 2019 as a Guest Speaker. Priya Sigdel talked about IWD2020 theme ‘Each for Equal’, regarding women rights and women empowerment followed by Hi-tea. Speaking of the campaign, General Manager of Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, Mr.Vikram Singh shared “The IWD 2020 campaign theme draws on the notion of ’collective individualism’, which refers to the idea that an individual’s actions and mindsets can all have an impact on a larger society. Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world.
