The newly launched Saturday Brunch, where gourmet flavors, soothing jazz, and panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley creates the perfect weekend escape.

Holiday Inn Resort Kathmandu delightedly announced the launch of their exquisite Saturday Brunch, at Mekong. A truly immersive dining experience set against the breathtaking panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. It wasn't just a brunch—it was a carefully crafted escape, where delicious cuisine, soulful music, and a relaxed atmosphere came together to create a perfect weekend ritual.

As guests arrived, they were welcomed into a warm and inviting ambiance, where mellow jazz melodies floated through the air. The entire space was designed to evoke a sense of calm and joy, ideal for unwinding and connecting with friends and family. Adding to the charm of this occasion was the newly appointed General Manager, Mr. Ajay Kumar, who was eager to personally greet the guests.

The culinary spread is a celebration of global flavors and local favorites. Guests can begin their journey with comforting bowls of crab meat soup or the aromatic tomato basil soup, setting the tone for a delicious adventure ahead. Our Pan-Asian section offers flavorful dishes like fish in black bean sauce, Chinese greens with oyster sauce, and Fujian-style eggplant, all bursting with umami. Those craving Western flavors will delight in hearty servings of vegetarian moussaka, roasted turn potatoes, and the rich, rustic chicken cacciatore.

The culinary spread was a celebration of global flavors and local favorites. Guests could begin their journey with comforting bowls of crab meat soup or the aromatic tomato basil soup. And for a touch of theatrical flair, the live shawarma and pasta station featured chefs preparing fresh dishes right before guests' eyes. Complementing the mains was an elegant selection of breads from the boulangerie, including freshly baked hard and soft rolls, Italian focaccia, and crispy grissini. A variety of fresh salads added balance and color to plates.

Closer to home, the Indian and Nepali section brought comfort and warmth with dishes such as pea pulao, dal makhani, and the ever-popular palak paneer. The Pan-Asian section offered flavorful dishes like fish in black bean sauce, Chinese greens with oyster sauce, and Fujian-style eggplant, all bursting with umami. Those craving Western flavors delighted in hearty servings of vegetarian moussaka, roasted turn potatoes, and the rich, rustic chicken cacciatore.

No brunch is complete without something sweet, and this was no exception. The dessert table was a haven for anyone with a sweet tooth. Guests could indulge in classics like mocha cake, red velvet, and classic tiramisu, or try something unique such as kiwi chai mousse, coconut bounty, or the rich, syrupy shahi tukda. Traditional favorites like moong dal halwa and savian ka mazaffar rounded out the dessert experience with a nostalgic touch.

Families with young guests found the Kids Club a delightful addition. While parents relaxed and savored the flavors, children enjoyed supervised fun and games, along with a specially curated kids' food corner featuring mini delights like vegetable and chicken burgers, hot dogs, potato chaat, and crumb-fried chicken nuggets.

The guests stepped away from the ordinary and into a world of flavor, music, and hospitality. Whether looking for a serene brunch with a view or a chance to reconnect with loved ones over a relaxed meal, the Saturday Brunch proved to be a highlight of the weekend for all who attended.
