Top performing passenger and cargo agents in 2018 awarded

Cathay Dragon hosted an award event to recognise their trade partners in Kathmandu. The first airline event at the brand new Marriott Hotel, Naxal, was organised to honour and thank the top performing passenger and cargo agents in Nepal for their continuous support to Cathay Dragon in 2018.

Mark Sutch - Regional General Manager South Asia, Middle East & Africa and Ms. Junu Maleku – Head of Sales & Country Lead - Nepal presented the awards to the agents. Gorkha Travels, Sumegh Tours and Travels, Osho World Travel Nepal, Da Vinci Travels and Tours and Megabyte Travels and Tours were recognised as the top performing passenger agents for 2018. Gorkha Travels was felicitated for reporting maximum revenue growth in Business Class bookings and Yeti Travels was felicitated for reporting maximum revenue growth in Economy Class bookings in 2018. Shangri-La Freight, Legend Cargo, World Freight International, Pioneer Cargo and Himalayan Tours and Travels were further recognised as top performing cargo agents for 2018.

Appreciating the agents, Regional General Manager- South Asia, Middle East and Africa, Mark Sutch said, “I would like to thank all our trade partners for their support in building a world class-airline. Commenting on the occasion Junu Maleku – Head of Sales & Country Lead for Nepal said, “Cathay Dragon has been able to successfully serve Nepal in the last 11 years due to the invaluable support of the passenger and cargo trade fraternity. They are the frontrunners and at the Annual Agent’s Awards we recognise their exceptional efforts and contribution. We aim to continue working closely with them – constantly engage to provide information on our products and network and also gather feedback to provide our customer with more tailor-made experiences.”

Cathay Dragon, an affiliate member of One World, is a Hong Kong-based international airline, and a member of the Cathay Pacific Group. The airline's network covers 53 destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, including 23 in Mainland China. The airline operates the Airbus A330 – 300 from Kathmandu to Hong Kong five times per week departing Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport late in the evening and landing in Hong Kong early the following morning.
