Singapore may be a small country, but they have a lot to offer

People often say that there isn't much to do in Singapore besides shopping, eating and watching movies. After all, Singapore is one of the most expensive countries in the world but it is also one of the places you should visit in your life. And the fact that we don’t need a visa makes it even easier to visit this amazing country.

Here are 5 places you should visit when you’re in Singapore:

1. National Gallery

The National Gallery is the latest jewel in the city. It is a brand new visual arts institution housing an unparalleled collection of both old fashioned and modern Southeast Asian art. The gallery is dedicated to curating a collection that will provide insights into the unique art, heritage and history of the region; this is a must-visit destination in Singapore.

3. Night Safari

Opened in 1994 and located next to the Singapore Zoo, the Night Safari is the world’s first safari park for nocturnal animals. But it resembles a wildlife park more than an actual safari. So instead of going to a club you can pop into another popular nightspot, the Night Safari, and mingle with a different crowd of animals at this special zoo. Here you get to witness a lot of indigenous animals like the endangered Asian elephant, Malayan tapir and Malayan tiger.

4. S.E.A. Aquarium

You have to visit the S.E.A Aquarium where you can observe more than 100,000 creatures like the leopard shark, goliath grouper and squadrons of manta rays. You are sure to get a magical marine experience with more than 800 species, swimming in 45 million litres of water. Who doesn’t want to watch sharks including endangered species such as the scalloped hammerhead shark and the aggressive silvertip shark.

5. 28 Hongkong Street

If you’re going to Singapore to party, 28 HongKong Street is one of the top drinking spots in the city. Location-wise, it’s a little hard to find and doesn’t look much from the outside but it’s worth seeking out. It’s a sleek and refined space with a handsome black marble bar and a handful of inviting booths.

The food offerings are also well worth exploring, in no way an afterthought; the bar boasts a creative farm-to-table menu and super-smooth table service. The jazz and rock soundtrack completes the picture and it’s clear a huge amount of care has been taken over all the elements of the whole bar experience, making it a great date place.
