A Press Meet held at Soaltee Crowne Plaza on October 11 highlighted the hotel’s tie-up with Cisco for the Meraki solutions. The remarkable IT solutions of Cisco Meraki has a customer base of 230,000 and 3 million network devices around the world.
Attended by the media and Soaltee family, the event was further graced by the presence of Binaya Mohan Saud – CEO at Subisu, Upaul Majumdar – General Manager at Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Sudarshan Chapagain – Director Finance and Business Support at Soaltee Crowne Plaza and Swarup Modak – Technical Head at CISCO India.
Shining light on the futuristic solutions, Modak from Cisco India gave a presentation explaining the minutes of the latest technology in the world. With a faster, consistent and stable connection, Cisco provides proactive monitoring, automatic guest recognition and simple installation. Convenient remote management, high-quality service, standardised SLAs characterise the cloud-based solution that will be implemented soon.
Furthermore, the Meraki cloud automatically optimises the wireless access points for channel selection, transmit power, and client connection settings. This provides optimal performance even under challenging radio frequency conditions. Meraki Access Points have a third radio dedicated to security and is always up-to-date with seamless updates and new features delivered quarterly.
With the motto of ‘Pioneering Hospitality’, Soaltee Crowne Plaza is the first of IHG Hotels all over the world to adopt this reliable cloud-based solution. This new initiative drawn from IHG-Connect will enable the hotel to manage networks more effectively. The cloud-networking platform provided by Meraki will equip Soaltee Crowne Plaza to give guests high bandwidth, security and an all-round heightened experience.
