Qatar Airways brings home accolades
Qatar Airways, one of the largest, globally operating airlines in the world has recently won numerous awards furthering a year of success for the airline already named ‘World’s Best Business Class,’ ‘Best Business Class Seat,’ ‘Best Airline in the Middle East,’ and ‘World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge’ by the 2018 World Airline Awards by Skytrax.
Recently, Qatar Airways received the ‘Best Inflight Service’ Award at the 29th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2018, and the ‘Best Middle Eastern/African Airline’ for the ninth year in a row at the 2018 Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Awards. The 29th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2018 is held by TTG Asia, “one of the region’s most trusted travel trade resources”. Winners of the awards are decided through votes by travel consultants, destination management companies and tour operators. The ‘Best Inflight Service’ Award commends airlines for having top products and services, reliable networks and schedules, along with the best agency outreach programmes. The airline was “once again recognised as a TTG Travel Hall of Fame honorary member after having been named ‘Best Middle Eastern’ airline 10 consecutive times.” Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive commented, “We are extremely pleased to have won these awards, which bear testament to our commitment to excellence and delivering an exceptional experience to our passengers. It is this customer-first approach that drives our business forward year on year.”
Along with these awards, Qatar Airways received the ‘Best Middle Eastern/African Airline’ at the Business Traveller Asia Pacific Awards presented in Hong Kong on September 13. This award recognises the best in the travel and hospitality industry, those who make travellers’ experiences as comfortable and smooth as possible. Winners are chosen by votes from business travellers and frequent flyers. Qatar Airways also managed to clinch ‘World’s Best Business Class’, ‘Best Business Class Seat: Middle East’, World’s Top 10 Airline and ‘Best Overall Airline: Middle East’ earlier this year from TripAdvisor.
