Qatar Airways hosts visiting Vietnamese VIP delegation
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Akbar Al Baker met with the Vietnamese VIP delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Municipal Party Committee, Vo Cong Tri, and accompanied by Vietnam’s Ambassador to Qatar, His Excellency Nguyen Dinh Thao, on September 24. To further promotion of tourism between the two countries, Qatar Airways launched their third Vietnamese destination.
Starting December 19 this year, direct flights to Da Nang from Hamad International Airport will commence four times weekly on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.
Akbar Al Baker emphasised Qatar Airways’ ongoing commitment to boost tourism in Vietnam. “This year marks a historic milestone between the State of Qatar and Vietnam as we celebrate 25 years of diplomatic relations and 11 years of service between Qatar Airways and Vietnam. Our current routes to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are already incredibly popular, and we are delighted to extend our reach into Vietnam with the upcoming launch of direct services to Da Nang, which demonstrates our commitment to further supporting the Vietnamese market.”
With a 6.6 million influx of tourists in 2017, Da Nang will surely prosper with the award-winning airlines’ rapidly expanding global network.
