Qatar Airways celebrates partners and supporters
In a glitzy event held at Radisson Hotel Kathmandu on August 27, Qatar Airways hosted their Qatar Airways Agents Award Night 2017 – 2018 in the presence of tourism industry stakeholders. Kicking off the lively evening, Jaya Prakash Nair, Country Manager and Naveen Chawla, Senior Manager Indian Sub-Continent lit oil lamps. The Country Manager shared a few words on the airlines’ attachment to Nepal, further shining light on the expansion process of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) he said, “Delay the development but never stop the development.”
Senior Manager Indian Sub-Continent Naveen Chawla expressed his gratitude and thanked the travel agents in the company’s evolution. A short presentation followed where the airline briefed on their recent successful partnership with FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia and also claiming their top spot as the ‘Best Business Class Seat’ in the Middle East. Being one of the fastest and youngest growing airlines, they are also planning on starting the first early flights to Nepal, arriving at 1:10 am and departing an hour later.
The event held by Qatar Airways had travel trade partners, dignitaries, CAAN, TIA members and Miss Nepal’s 2018 among others present. A total of four trophies were given and 16 appreciation certificates in various categories by Qatar Airways Country Manager Jaya Prakash Nair and Senior Manager Indian Sub-Continent Naveen Chawla.
The prestigious ‘Platinum Award 2017-2018’ was bagged by Osho World Travel Nepal, followed by Sumegh Tour and Travels on the ‘Gold award 2017-2018’, Yeti Travels with the ‘Silver Award 2017-2018’ and Sea Links Travel and Tour taking home the ‘Burgundy Award 2017-2018’. With plenty other awards given out, ‘Highest Market Share’, ‘Best Corporate Business’, ‘Most upcoming and promising agent’ and more, Qatar Airways thanked the contributing agents and carried on with a cocktail dinner.
